Description

To avoid major differences in color, aroma, and flavor, our Ceylon tea is harvested at different altitudes of the mountain, from varied soil structures and under diverse environmental conditions. From this process, we obtain numerous types of teas with different flavors and aromas.

Thus, we create a unique and exclusive blend by combining these variants into a single batch. Our tea lovers have become accustomed to a distinctive taste, balanced by different aromatizations, creating a blend of consistent quality with a perfectly strong and stable profile throughout all harvests.

Ingredients: 100% Ceylon Black Tea (Broken Orange Pekoe – 1st Grade).

Do you know what BOP1 means?
The acronym BOP stands for “Broken Orange Pekoe.” The letter “B” means “Broken” (broken leaf) and is added to the acronym “OP” (Orange Pekoe). The number “1” indicates superior quality within the BOP category.

Origin of Black Tea
Black Tea is produced from the more mature leaves of the Camellia sinensis shrub. Compared to other teas, Black Tea has the highest level of oxidation, which gives it a more intense flavor. After harvesting, the green leaves undergo an osmosis process lasting up to 20 hours. They are then rolled by hand or machine, initiating oxidation. Finally, the leaves are naturally dried.

Sri Lanka Tea (Ceylon Tea)
The incomparable Sri Lanka Tea, also known as Ceylon Tea, is recognized as one of the best teas in the world. Tea culture in Sri Lanka is so distinctive that tea leaf production is extremely high per capita. According to tea enthusiasts, no other country produces such a quantity of high-quality tea leaves. It is estimated that around 328 thousand kilos of tea leaves are produced annually in Sri Lanka.

The island of Sri Lanka, Ceylon or Ceylon (colonial name), is characterized by endless mountains and valleys filled with tea bushes. Tea leaf harvesting is carried out exclusively by women of various ages. Ceylon Tea is the main agricultural export product of Sri Lanka and plays a major role in employment, supporting over one million people.
